I first got into music when I began taking piano lessons at only eleven years of age. Over the course of the years I took up the interest in playing guitar, but before honing that skill I taught himself to play bass guitar. After a while I found out I was able to adapt and predict the rhythm of any tune I played along with easily. This is where I began learning my role in the band: rhythm guitar. A local church minister actually gave me guitar lessons and mentored my ability for about two years, and from then on I incorporated my own knowledge of music and began to write my own pieces. Most of the songs by The First Impression branch out from my creativity and imagination and that's where Anthony, Chris, and Shawn put their own style into the mix which results into the songs you hear today by the band. I also writes all of the lyrics of the band's music from which the rest of The First Impression gives their opinions whether it conveys the message or not. My major influences include: The All-American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, Mayday Parade, Boys Like Girls, and The Maine. My dream is to one day make a living off of what I love doing: making music!! The First Impression will be one of those bands that will always stick together through thick and thin, we'll never give up on our passion or our dreams.

My name is Anthony Garska, I am the lead guitar player of the band called The First Impression. I’ve been playing the guitar ever since I was in 5th grade. I always wanted to make my friends and family proud of what I can accomplish. I have one dream and one dream only. That dream is to be a part of a band that is known all around the world. I breathe for music, and that’s all I need and want, i want to thank all of my bands fans for supporting us all this time, and just like AC/DC's song says ''It’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll''

I started playing guitar when I was 17 years-old. My father dabbled with guitar playing for a while and one day I decided to pick it up and try it out for myself. Soon after I registered for the guitar class offered at Port Huron High School and formed a band with some of my good friends where I played rhythm guitar. Musically I’ve been influenced by such bands as Blue October, Slipknot, Blink 182, Stone Sour, 30 Seconds to Mars, Foo Fighters, and Tool. Following my graduation, my first band didn’t take off with college forcing us to go our separate ways. Although my first band didn’t go anywhere, I didn’t give up on my dream. I assembled another band and picked up the bass. At the same time, I had an acoustic side project going with my friend Kate that was going very well, but once again college came between us and both bands were discontinued. However, hope was not gone. My younger brother, Anthony, and his best friends, Chris and Tyler, had their own band together and found themselves in need of a bassist. Reluctantly I joined them, initially not thinking much of their potential. To my surprise it was the best decision of my life. After years of practice and hard work, we’ve grown tremendously as a band and have excelled further than I’d ever thought possible. Now I’m proud to say that I am a member of The First Impression, and I’m going to enjoy the wonderful journey full of amazing opportunities that still lies ahead in our future.

My name is Christopher Armstrong and I am the drummer for The First Impression. Ever sense I was little I would bang on pots and pans and use empty ice cream tubs to play drums on. When I was about 5 or 6 my uncle gave me his old drum set for me to play on. The first song I played on the drums was we will rock you by Queen. Now I play heavy music and alternative rock on the drums. My dream is to become that famous drummer that everyone knows about like Tommy Lee and Travis Barker. So always follow your dream in life and never give up!!!
